The CHANGE project is a 15 months’ project funded by VOICE “Improved access to resources and employment” among “Women facing exploitation, abuse and/or violence”, NAYA seeks to implement the CHANGE intervention in two slums (Kubwa and Mpape) of the Federal Capital Territory FCT Abuja, Nigeria.
The project economic and social empowerment intervention is intended to lift 12 Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) aged 18-30 years out of abject poverty. This is achieved through:
• Vocational training
• Leadership & Life skills training
• Entrepreneurship & Financial literacy training &
• Collective vocational support that fosters interdependence.
CHANGE Project believes that if vulnerable AGYWs are mentored and established in enterprises of interest, then they will be financially resilient against gender-based exploitations, abuse and violence.
